Cognivara AI is designed from the ground up for complete privacy. All AI processing runs locally using llama.cpp. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.
This Privacy Policy describes how Cognivara AI ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our Android application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
By installing and using Cognivara AI, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

The app requests the INTERNET permission for one purpose only:
After the model is downloaded, the app makes zero network requests. All six AI tools (Resume Analyzer, Personal Writing, Medical Explainer, Finance Explainer, Reflect & Journal, Research & Learn) run entirely on-device.
There are no analytics SDKs, ad networks, tracking libraries, or telemetry of any kind included in the app.
All AI inference is performed locally on your device using the llama.cpp runtime with the Qwen 2.5 language model. This means:
Resume & document handling: When you upload a PDF or DOCX file to the Resume Analyzer tool, the text is extracted in-memory, processed by the on-device AI, and never written to disk or transmitted anywhere. The original file remains untouched on your device.
Sensitive tools: The Personal Writing, Medical Explainer, Finance Explainer, and Reflect & Journal tools are designed for sensitive personal content. All input and output stays entirely on your device — nothing is logged, transmitted, or stored beyond the local task history you control.

Cognivara AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. The app is rated for users aged 16 and above.
Since we collect no personal data, there is nothing for us to provide, delete, or export on your behalf. All data the app generates lives on your device and is fully within your control:
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
